The Summit SF. A Cafe / Business Incubator we started in San Francisco.

At Plinth we believe in entrepreneurship can dramatically change the the lives for the of those brave enough to take the journey.  We've taken over 15 years of experience creating concepts, running, and funding food business concepts and distilled them into classes that are perfect for on the go entrepreneurs looking to fulfill their dreams.

Our first series of courses will be focused on food entrepreneurship with a later series on branding and other business disciplines.

We’re raised over 400k in crowdfunding by learning from experience.

The Eastern Addition was our 1st Kickstarter

How did we learn to crowdfund? The hard way. We did it ourselves.  We launched our 1st crowdfunding campaign with a 3 month pop-up dinner series called the Eastern Addition back in 2012.

In 3 months we would develop a concept and revenue model, create a marketing campaign, fundraise, and build out our operations.

Other crowdfunding project creators aren’t so lucky. The tools and best practices on the internet don’t prepare people properly, and lot of sites and so called “experts” peddle tactics not tested in the real world. Everyone sells you the dream, but do they prepare you for the reality?

WHY TEACH PEOPLE OUR STRATEGIES AND TECHNIQUES?

We announced Plinth Academy @ Next Day Better

We announced Plinth Academy @ Next Day Better

Not every entrepreneur or emerging food brand has the resources to hire our agency, but we stand by our mission to help empower entrepreneurs. We’ve created Plinth Academy to distill our strategies and teach other people how to crowdfund their dreams.

Entrepreneurship is highly personal because new ventures are the embodiment a of a person’s hopes and dreams. There are companies, consultants, and the like that capitalize on entrepreneurs ambitions for purely personal gain. We want to change all of that.
